“Sing the Truth!” kicked off The Arts and Ideas Fest “Headliners on the New Haven Green” summer concert series as part of the first day of the Arts and Ideas Fest.Female vocalists, Angélique Kidjo, Dianne Reeves, and Lizz Wright sang songs ranging from Billie Holiday to Lauryn Hill, along with selections of their own original songs in front of a crowd of 20,000, as estimated by the concerts organizers, Saturday evening June 16, 2012.
