JESS HARKNESS Foran sophomore, pitcher Stats: Went 23-2 and led Lions to SCC championship and appearance in Class L title game. Struck out 269 batters in 186 innings, while posting an ERA of 0.87. Honors: All-SCC and coaches all-state selection.

MELANIE PAOLINI Law Stats: Went 19-4 and advanced to the quarterfinals of the SCC tournament and in Class M and earned a share of the SCC Hammonasset Division title. Has compiled a 95-80 record at Law in eight seasons. Has 106 career wins. Honors: Selected as the Class M state coach of year. Off the field: Also coaches girlsŐ swimming at Law.

TAYLOR BURGER Haddam-Killingworth junior, outfield Stats: Hit .544 with 49 hits, 43 runs, 34 RBIs, an on-base percentage of .573 and nine stolen bases. Made just one error. Honors: All-Shoreline Conference selection, National Honor Society, Shoreline Conference Scholar Athlete.

JACQUI FERRAIOLO Amity senior, outfield Stats: Batted .378 with 10 doubles, four home runs, two triples, 28 runs, 18 RBIs. Led team to Class LL title and appearance in SCC tournament championship. Honors: All-SCC selection, academic all-state, Amity scholar athlete of year. Off the field: Will play at Northeastern.

BROOKE PHELAN Foran senior, shortstop Stats: Batted .398 with three triples, 27 runs, 15 RBIs, 23 stolen bases, and slugging percentage of .510 and an on-base percentage of .433. Honors: All-SCC and coaches all-state selection, Gatorade Player of Year nominee. Off the field: School awards for excellence in journalism, photography and nursing. Will study nursing at Quinnipiac University.

MELISSA NELSON Law senior, shortstop Stats: Batted .489 with 28 RBIs, 24 runs, and committed just one error. School record for career hits (129) and single-season leader in hits (44). Honors: All SCC and coaches all-state selection. Off the field: Will play at Springfield College.

BRITT LAMPERT Shelton senior, outfield Stats: Hit .549 with three home runs, 34 runs, 20 RBIs, 40 stolen bases, a slugging percentage of .775 and an on-base percentage of .593. Honors: All-SCC and coaches all-state selection.Ę Off the field: Will play at Concordia.

LAUREN ESPOSITO Coginchaug senior, first base/pitcher Stats: Batted .537 with 49 runs, 21 RBIs, 23 stolen bases and an on-base percentage of .600. Also went 7-1 with one save, an ERA of 0.53 and 107 strikeouts in 66 innings. Led team to Shoreline Conference and Class S titles. Honors: All-Shoreline and coaches all-state selection, MVP of state championship game, Shoreline Conference player of year. Led basketball team to Class S title in the winter season. Off the field: Will play softball at Stonehill .Ę

MARISSA BRUNO Foran junior, third base Stats: Hit .413 with 25 RBIs, 21 runs, 38 hits and nine stolen bases. Led team in RBIs for second straight year. Team won SCC title and advanced to Class L championship game. Honors: All-SCC and Junior Select all-star game selection.

ALYSSA DONOVAN Platt Tech senior, catcher Stats: Hit .615 with 14 doubles, four home runs, three triples and 27 runs. Threw out 18 runners. Honors: Four-time All-CSC and two-time coaches all-state selection. Received the Golden Glove and Big Stick award.Ę Off the field: Will play at Newbury College.

MARISA DOWLING Lauralton Hall senior, shortstop Stats: Hit .426 with two doubles, four triples, five home runs, 26 RBIs and 19 runs. Honors: Two-year captain, two-time All-SWC selection, coaches all-state pick, Crusader Senior Award recipient. Off the field: Will play at Colgate.

KELLY FERRIS Seymour senior, pitcher Stats: Went 21-1 with 183 strikeouts in 151 innings and an ERA of 0.46. Led Wildcats to the NVL title and the Class M state quarterfinals. Honors: All-NVL and coaches all-state selection. Off the field: Ranked sixth in graduating class. Will play at Bentley University. Also runs indoor track.

KATIE PETROSKI Seymour sophomore, infield Stats: Batted .505 with 11 home runs, 10 doubles, seven triples, 45 runs, 55 RBIs and 13 stolen bases. Led Wildcats to NVL title and the Class M semifinals. Honors: Coaches all-state and All-NVL selection. Off the field: Was an All-Area selection in indoor track. Honor roll member.

MARIEL SCHLAEFER Lauralton Hall senior, catcher Stats: Batted .466 with five doubles, five home runs, two triples, 22 runs, 22 RBIs, a slugging percentage of .879 and an on-base percentage of .516. Honors: Two-time coaches all-state and All-SWC selection. Off the field: Will play at Colgate.

LEAH TORRE Guilford senior, pitcher Stats: Went 15-8, struck out 230, ERA of 2.37. Batted .443 with six doubles, two home runs, 25 RBIs. Tallied 45 wins, 98 hits and a .364 career average. Honors: Four-year starter, two-year captain, three-time coaches all-state and All-SCC selection.Ę
