A man suspected in a city shooting is taken into custody by New Haven Police detectives shortly after the suspect allegedly slashed a 14-year-old girl, in whose home he was reportedly holed up to avoid capture. The saga unfolded as police were investigating a shooting at 184 Hamilton St., in the Farnam Courts housing project, and they received a report of a possible incident nearby.
