The Newtown Congregational Church was the location for a Service of Hope and Healing. The featured speaker was Rev. James Forbes, retired from Riverside Church in NYC and is president of The Healing of Nations Foundation. Newtown United Methodist Church and the Newtown Islamic Society also participated, as well as townspeople and others.
